Choose the symbology to match the use: CODE128 accepts letters and numbers and suits internal inventory labels, while EAN-13 is the retail standard and requires a properly issued thirteen-digit number with a valid check digit. Why does my barcode not scan?
Usually printing too small, low contrast, or no clear margin around the bars. Use the SVG download and keep the quiet zone empty.
Can I use these on products for sale?
Only with a properly registered EAN number issued to you — the generator draws the barcode but cannot assign you a valid retail number.
