Several tools on this site touch money and health — the two areas where a wrong number does real damage. This page sets out exactly what our calculators do and do not account for.

In one sentence: every calculator here is an educational estimator. None of them is financial, medical, legal, tax or religious advice, and none should be the last step before an important decision.

Financial tools

The EMI, loan, mortgage, compound interest, SIP, GST, salary, budget, invoice and discount calculators implement standard published formulas correctly. What they cannot know is your lender's small print. Specifically, they do not account for arrangement or processing fees, mandatory insurance bundling, prepayment or foreclosure penalties, floating-rate resets, day-count conventions, the rounding convention a particular institution applies, or any local tax treatment.

The result is therefore an estimate, and the real figure on a real agreement will differ. Treat our output as a way to compare two options against each other, not as a quotation. Before committing to any credit product, obtain a written schedule from the lender and, where the sum is significant, consult a licensed financial adviser.

Currency exchange rates are supplied by a third-party provider and are refreshed daily. They are indicative mid-market rates. They are not the rate your bank or card will give you, and they must not be used for settlement, accounting or trading.

Health and body composition tools

The BMI, body fat, calorie, sleep cycle and pregnancy due date calculators are general wellness estimators. Body mass index in particular is a crude population-level screening measure: it does not distinguish muscle from fat and is known to misclassify athletes, older adults, pregnant women and several ethnic groups. The World Health Organization and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention both publish this caveat alongside the measure.

Nothing on this site diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any condition. Do not use it to decide whether to seek care, to start or stop a medication, or to set a restrictive eating or exercise regime. If you have a health concern, speak to a qualified clinician.

The pregnancy due date calculator uses Naegele's rule from a last menstrual period. It is an estimate; a dating ultrasound performed by a clinician is the authoritative source, and only a small minority of births occur on the estimated date.

Zakat calculator

The Zakat calculator applies the widely accepted 2.5% rate against a nisab threshold derived from current gold and silver prices. Rulings on what is zakatable — the treatment of pensions, business stock, debts owed to you, jewellery in regular use, and shares — differ between schools of jurisprudence. Please consult a qualified scholar for your own circumstances.

Developer and file tools

Always keep an original copy of any file before running it through a converter, compressor, splitter or merger. We provide no warranty that a converted file is fit for any particular purpose, and the JWT decoder deliberately does not verify signatures — it only reads the header and payload, and must never be used as an authentication check.

External links

Where we link to an outside source we do so because it is authoritative on the point being made. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their continued availability.

No affiliate relationships

Tools Guru carries no affiliate links and takes no commission on anything you might buy elsewhere. The site is funded solely by clearly marked display advertising, as described in our editorial policy.

Reporting an error

If you believe a calculator is wrong, please email sophiaanjum05@gmail.com with your inputs and expected output. We treat confirmed calculation errors as our most serious class of bug.
