About the Image Compressor
Image weight is usually the single biggest cause of a slow page, and most photos can lose half their file size before a difference is visible. Compression here happens entirely in your browser, so a folder of photos never gets uploaded to a stranger's server — which matters when the photos are personal or a client's. Start at around 80% quality and lower it until you can see the loss, then step back one notch.
