Event Countdown
Count down to any future date with a live display of days, hours, minutes and seconds remaining.
How to use the Event Countdown
- Name your event.
- Set the target date and time.
- Watch the live countdown, and optionally enable a notification for when it ends.
About the Event Countdown
A countdown makes a distant deadline feel real, which is why they work for exam preparation and project launches as much as for holidays. Multiple countdowns can run at once, and if you allow notifications the browser can alert you when one finishes even if the tab is not in front of you. Countdowns are stored on your device, not on a server.
Frequently asked questions
Can I run several countdowns at once?
Yes, add as many events as you want and each counts down independently.
Will I get an alert when it finishes?
If you allow browser notifications, yes — you will be alerted when a countdown reaches zero.
Are my countdowns saved?
They are stored on your device, so they persist between visits but are never uploaded.
Will the countdown keep running if I close the tab?
The target date is stored on your device, so the countdown shows the correct remaining time whenever you come back, even after a restart. The finish alert only fires while the page is open, so leave the tab running if you need the notification itself.
Can I count down to a date like New Year?
Yes. Set any future date and time and the countdown runs in days, hours, minutes and seconds — a new year, a birthday, an exam or a launch. Leave the tab open and it keeps counting, and it can notify you when it reaches zero.
