Internet Speed Test

Measure your actual download speed, upload speed and ping latency in the browser, with no app to install.

How to use the Internet Speed Test

  1. Start the test and stay on the page while it runs.
  2. Wait for download, upload and ping to complete.
  3. Repeat once or twice to confirm the result is representative.

About the Internet Speed Test

Download speed gets advertised, but ping is what you feel in a video call or a game — high latency makes a fast connection feel broken. Upload matters if you send large files or appear on camera. For a fair reading, close streaming tabs, test over cable if you can, and repeat the test a couple of times: a single WiFi measurement taken next to a microwave is not a verdict on your connection.

Frequently asked questions

Why is my speed lower than what I pay for?

Advertised speeds are line maximums. WiFi distance, interference, older routers and other devices using the connection all reduce what reaches your device.

What is a good ping?

Under 20ms is excellent, under 50ms is good. Above 100ms is noticeable in calls and games.

Does WiFi affect the result?

Considerably. Test over a cable if you want to know what your line actually delivers.
